Safe Use of Laser Products
AntBelt laser products are intended for adult use only. Laser radiation can cause serious and permanent injury to the eyes and skin if the product is used improperly.
Before operating the product, carefully read the user manual and all safety instructions. Always follow the safety requirements applicable to your specific product and operating environment.
Eye and Skin Protection
- Never look directly into the laser beam.
- Never look at the laser beam through optical instruments such as magnifying glasses, cameras, or binoculars unless specifically designed and approved for the application.
- Avoid exposure to direct and reflected laser radiation.
- Use appropriate laser safety eyewear rated for the laser wavelength and power when required.
- Do not bypass, disable, or modify any safety interlocks, protective covers, enclosures, or other safety features.
Safe Operation
- Never leave an operating laser unattended.
- Keep children, pets, and unauthorized persons away from the operating area.
- Operate the product only in a suitable, well-ventilated environment.
- Keep flammable materials away from the machine and maintain appropriate fire-safety measures.
- Use suitable smoke and fume extraction when required.
- Stop operation immediately if you notice unexpected smoke, flames, unusual sounds, or other abnormal conditions.
Material Safety
Only process materials whose composition and suitability for laser processing are known and confirmed.
Do not process:
- PVC or vinyl;
- PTFE or Teflon;
- Materials containing chlorine or halogens;
- Materials of unknown composition;
- Highly reflective materials unless confirmed suitable for the specific laser;
- Materials that may produce toxic, corrosive, or hazardous fumes; or
- Any material that has not been confirmed as suitable for laser processing.
Laser processing can produce smoke, fumes, particles, or gases that may be harmful to health or equipment.
If you are unsure whether a material is safe to process, do not process it until its composition and suitability have been confirmed.
Fire Safety
Laser processing can ignite certain materials.
- Never leave the machine unattended while operating.
- Keep the work area clear of unnecessary flammable materials.
- Ensure appropriate fire-safety equipment is readily available.
- If a fire occurs, stop the machine immediately and take appropriate emergency action.
- Do not continue operation until the cause of the fire has been identified and the machine is confirmed safe to use.
Safety Features
Do not remove, disable, bypass, or modify any protective enclosure, safety switch, interlock, sensor, emergency stop, or other safety mechanism.
Any unauthorized modification may increase the risk of laser exposure, fire, equipment damage, or personal injury.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Laser safety requirements may vary depending on the product, laser class, power, configuration, and country or region.
Customers are responsible for using the product in compliance with applicable local laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
